At STARGUM, we strive to provide top quality rubber granules for activity surfaces. That is why we have invented a specialized variant of our flagship product: EPDM Starlight granules.

The best training facilities with EPDM Starlight for professional athletes

While it is possible to run just about anywhere, modern sports require specific groundwork. It needs to be durable and weather-resistant. Athletes’ shoes must produce very high friction to achieve extreme acceleration when sprinting. Elasticity must provide some protection for strained joints and in case of accidents, but it mustn’t reduce sturdiness.

The answer is a multilayered track made of vulcanized rubber granules. Depending on the designer’s specifications, it has up to three layers. This product serves best as a layer. As an EPDM Starlight manufacturer, we have optimized its properties for the best performance and safety during training and competition. If you’re searching for the materials for other layers, refer to the SBR and EPDM Colour products. Together, they can make up an impressive and long-lasting surface, appreciated by world-class professionals.

Physical characteristics of EPDM Starlight granules

EPDM Starlight’s polymer content is elevated in comparison to other variants of our products. It results in high elasticity without degrading the material’s durability. It is resistant to intense mechanical stress, producing long-lived track surfaces. Thanks to its porous structure, granules achieve low bulk density which makes it lightweight. The granules are of range 1.0-4.0 mm. Refer to sieve analysis for a detailed grain size histogram.

STARGUM uses its 40-year expertise in the rubber industry to manufacture the best synthetic materials for top quality sports facilities. Our granules have been applied worldwide, as shown in the References section. With our highly efficient factory and modern production standards, we are able to realize orders of any size.
