Safety first – rubber for playground surface

Dirt and gravel are cheap, but not necessarily the safest choice to apply where many children run around. Parents know accidents very well, as they tend to all the bruises and cuts (hopefully nothing more serious). Playground safety surfaces need to be more elastic, but still hard enough to run on. A poured in place rubber surface is the best choice. For the best experience, multilayered surfaces are recommended. SBR granules is a substrate material for bottom layers at professional athletic facilities, but it can also serve the youngest. With high elasticity, it prevents injuries and provides durability. It comes in a single standard colour: black, as it is usually never seen anyway. The top layer needs to be more appealing, though.

Vivid colours and fancy patterns on playground surfacing

Children’s toys come in all the vivid colours of the rainbow to stimulate their imagination. That applies at playgrounds as well.
