TPV Colour Granules

We offer TPE-V, thermoplastic rubber granules for application on sport and recreational surfaces.  Apart from very low density and high weather conditions resistance, it’s main advantage is possibility of recycling and re-usage without worsening the technical parameters.

Colourful and elastic granules are perfect for creating safe playgrounds. Wide choice of colours enables to design fancy projects.

Usage

TPV Colour granules are used for sport and recreational surfaces as a top layer. It is usually used for playgrounds.

As a long-standing company in the rubber industry, we proudly present one of our flagship products: TPV rubber granules. With our extensive experience and remarkable manufacturing capabilities, we are capable of realizing virtually every order of this material. Learn about its advantages!

Key physical properties of TPV coloured rubber

The exact name is thermoplastic elastomer vulcanizate – TPE-V. It does not signify a specific chemical compound, but it rather outlines its desired properties. Our product is elastic, but durable because of hardening by vulcanization. Thermoplasticity means it can be recycled more easily than thermosetting polymers. The used up material can be heated until it achieves enough plasticity to be easily shaped again. It retains most of the original properties in this process, which makes the thermoplastic rubber granules more eco-friendly than most synthetic rubbers.

TPV contains two main polymeric ingredients. One is EPDM, the second is polypropylene. After fusing together in vulcanization, they form a durable but lightweight structure.

Practical advantages of TPV granules

The actual product comes in granules with 1.0-3.5 mm granularity. Besides the described polymers, it contains fillers, additives and pigments. They increase the bulk volume without compromising the desired traits and give the material one of the many available hues. This is what makes TPV rubber granules so visually attractive. We offer 19 standard colours numbered according to the RAL palette, both vivid and pastel – the choice depends entirely on your design. We have the capability to manufacture even more colours on demand.

Applications of our TPV colour granules

The primary place rubber granules are put into practice are surfaces of sports and recreational facilities. Modern constructions include several layers of the varying materials. TPV is best suited for the top layer at playgrounds and public places. It is durable enough for the children to run and exercise upon. In the meantime, the flexibility of TPV makes it hard to get hurt on such surface. Resistance to UV light and weather conditions contribute to longevity of this material. And the palette of colours appeals to the creativity of the designer. Small colour granules can be arranged into multicoloured patterns of remarkable complexity.
