EPDM Infill Granules
EPDM infill granules for artificial grass provide the elasticity of the surface and in this way secures safe usage of the football pitch. By filling the space between blades, infill prevents grass from deformation which is importaint not only for the appearance but also functionality of the surface.
We offer granules in green colour. On special request we can also produce gray, brown, black or other.
Granules have been tested for compliance with the requirements of FIFA Quality Programme with a positive results.

Properties
We offer the prime production EPDM granules (Virgin), not recycled.
EPDM Virgin granules – means that the material comes from the prime production and was made under total control of producer. This is the best quality material. Thanks to their properties, EPDM Virgin granules are safe for people and environment and can be used in any kind of sport and recreational facilities.

We present a specialized variety of synthetic rubber: EPDM Infill. These granules are dedicated for sport pitches as a necessary filling of artificial turf. We invite you to learn more about our product’s specifications and applications in real life!
EPDM Infill in artificial turf – modern surface for sport events
The natural grass on sports stadiums has always presented practical challenges. It requires regular maintenance and sufficient sunlight. It can be worn down to the ground, risking in mud. Modern stadiums have not solved those issues completely. In the 1960s, artificial turf was first introduced. But most of its installations remained inferior to the real grass. New surfaces changed the dynamics of the game, had wrong friction and increased incidence of injuries.
Nowadays, third-generation artificial turf is getting installed worldwide. Its dynamic properties are very close to natural grass and is considered safe for players. But it needs to meet strict conditions set out by the discipline-governing organizations. For example, there is the FIFA Quality Programme for Football Turf. One of the crucial requirements is the infill of the turf.
Requirements for an artificial turf filling
The fibres of syntethic grass need to be long and flexible, but kept in roughly vertical position after being strongly stomped upon. This necessitates filling the spaces between them with a safe material which does not compromise any crucial properties of the field. EPDM infill granules are a perfect answer.
The elasticity of the granules makes the pitch very safe, preventing bruises and joint injuries. To achieve a grass-like look, we provide one colour as an optimal standard: Reseda green (RAL 6011). However, we can easily provide others as well on demand.
EPDM Infill fulfills the standards of the FIFA Quality Programme. As a result, it has already been applied in several large-scale investments. Examples in our References section include Astana Arena in Kazahstan and 12 pitches in Saudi Arabia.
Variaties of EPDM Infill from STARGUM
This material has an extra version called EPDM Infill Light. It has a little higher polymer content, so it has higher tensile strength. As the name suggests, it is also less dense, which results in lower consumption per sqm. Both types come in two ranges of granularity: 0.5-2.5 mm and 1.0-3.0 mm. The detailed size variation is presented in sieve analysis.
STARGUM is an EPDM Infill manufacturer with over 40 years of experience in the rubber industry. EPDM granulate is our flagship product. We have significant manufacturing capabilities for orders of any scale. Trust our professionalism!
